Chief Instructor Skip Chapman started practicing Aikido in 1991 and opened Jersey Shore Aikikai in 1998. In addition to owning the dojo, Skip traveled with and assisted Y. Yamada Sensei for 18 years and remains close with him today. Skip is passionate about spreading Aikido and helping dojo’s through his organization Aikido University (formerly named Aikido Instructor’s Organization.)

Chief Instructor Malory Graham started training in 1988 and received her 6th Dan from Yamada Shihan in 2014. She has been dojocho of Seattle Aikikai for 24 years and has a close relationship with Yoko Okamoto Shihan and regularly trains with Aikido Kyoto.

Chief Instructor John Thompson started training in 1994 and received his 5th Dan from Yamada Shihan in 2019. He has been dojo cho of Denton MAC since 2000.
